SDF40-2's and FP45's are often mistaken for each other. This picture shows
FP45 5991 coupled in front of SDF40-2 5267. Among other things, the FP45 has a noticeably
smaller steam generator section. No SDF40-2's were ever painted in SPSF red and yellow,
or for that matter in any Santa Fe color scheme other than blue and yellow warbonnet. |
