Briscoe, TX

Briscoe, TX was a Santa Fe standard depot built when Santa Fe extended the Clinton and Oklahoma Western west from Cheyenne, OK. It has been considerably modified by its subsequent owners. The damaged roof in the photo above by Jim King ca.1999 had been replaced by a metal roof when David Briscoe took the photo at left in November 2002. The town was named after David's father's uncle, who was a superintendent with the railroad.
