Holyrood, KS, 1991

In 1991 the 24x60 standard depot Holyrood was still standing trackside, albeit in poor shape. Why the building survived so long after the others on the branch were removed is not known. The white and brown paint job was something of a "local standard" applied to a number of northern Kansas depots in the 1970's or 80's.

John Hake photographed the depot ten years later, and somewhat the worse for wear, still on its original site next to the now abandoned right-of-way of the Little River Sub on July 21, 2001.
