Lone Star, CA

One of only a handful of standard 2A depots to survive, the privately-owned Lone Star stands on its original site along with caboose 999362 and a small collection of other artifacts. The depot was built in 1913, and the agency closed in 1958. At the time this photo was taken, A&K Railway Materials was busy ripping up the trackage of the former Visalia District in front of the building.
