Plattsburg, MO

One of the smallest brick depots on the Santa Fe, Plattburg is generally similar to the depot at Coal City, IL. The simple architecture did include a few "touches," including the stylized Santa Fe emblem in brick above the front door. The depot was left in place, boarded up, when Santa Fe abandoned this portion of the line from Henrietta to St. Joseph, MO. The top and upper left views show the depot in September 2002, while the lower left reflects January 2003, and the beginnings of restoration work performed by new owner Shelwood Farms, who uses it as an office.
