| Kansas City Terminal Tower #8, also known as Sheffield Interlocking Tower, was the point where Santa Fe left its own rails and entered KCT trackage for the next 6.7 miles west to Santa Fe Junction. The tower was owned by KCT, and had long been closed as an active interlocking tower when Sam Bailey snapped this view on April 18, 1999. Construction of a new flyover has since raised the tracks directly in front of the tower. |
