Stronghurst, IL depot

Though many depots on the main line east of Kansas City were built with large, interlocking style bay windows, Stronghurst was one of the few that retained it following its 1950's rebuild with asbestos siding. Around 1990, the depot was rebuilt again with the metal siding shown here. The building is still used by maintenance of way crews.
