Tonkawa, OK

The Tonkawa spur from Blackwell to Tonkawa, OK was sold to a "paper railroad" owned by a salvage firm in 1989. The track was pulled up, but thankfully the large frame depot survived as a museum. Built as a 24x80 standard depot, Tonkawa received a freight room addition in 1922 and a waiting room addition in 1946, bringing its total length to about 123 feet. Note the absence of roof brackets on the freight room addition.
