Water Tanks at Henrietta, MO


BNSF engineer Sam Bailey photographed the two former Santa Fe water tanks at Henrietta in January 2001. According to older employees, the tanks originally stood south of the tracks, and were moved to the north side in the 1970's for use by a grain elevator. The elevator was no longer in use by the time these photos were taken.

The tanks were finally removed by a contractor in September 2002. Sam Bailey photographed the work in progress from the cab of his locomotive on September 15, 2002.
