Water Tanks and Treatment Plant at Miami, TX


Many water facilities that survived along Santa Fe's main line decades after the end of steam finally succumbed in the first decade of the 21st century, as BNSF continued its campaign to double-track its entire main line from Chicago to L.A. The facilities at Miami, TX, shown here in 1990, were demolished in 2003 to make way for the new trackwork.
