Davis, OK

Frame depots are generally moved off-site when they are sold, but the GC&SF depots at Davis and Pauls Valley, OK managed to remain trackside after they were converted to museums. A fence between the depots and the tracks presumably helps to keep folks from wandering into the path of oncoming trains. The Davis depot shown above is now the Arbuckle Historical Museum. Note the heavy concrete foundation, a feature common to many large GC&SF frame depots.
