Mesilla Park, NM

One wonders how Mesilla Park, located less than three miles south of the Las Cruces depot, warranted such a large depot. The unique pueblo style stucco structure was completed in 1925, replacing an earlier frame depot that was moved up the line to Dona Ana. The railroad retired the Mesilla Park depot in 1966 and leased it to a local business for a few years. By the late 90's, the building was being used by the railroad's maintenance of way forces.
