As a follow up to "A troubled economy," it turns out the old backwards N gremlin struck at least a few tie plates marked with the railroad's name as well. This one was found in a setout track at Madera, CA. Santa Fe seems to have had more than its share of trouble with N's over the years; see also SaNta Fe 8224.
