The first way car repainted in SPSF colors was Ce-1 class 999088. The car was originally given full SPSF lettering; the SP was painted out before the car entered regular service. By the time Chris Kinoshita photographed the car at San Diego in July 1988, the painted-out lettering was beginning to resurface.
