Wabco B-7

The B-7 was Wabco's replacement for the B-6. The photos at left shows the two types back-to-back for comparison.

Four different bell lengths were cataloged: the B-7-21, B-7-25, B-7-30, and B-7-36, whose frequencies were 210, 255, 300, and 360 Hz respectively.

Railroad use of the B-7 as a single chime horn is not well documented. Wabco's line of three-chime E-2B horns did see limited used on locomotives; these consisted of two different B-7 horns flanking a single large E-series Wabco horn. See the pages on the E-2B-1 and E-2B-3 for more information on these horns.
